3 aspirin, nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs): The risk of upper GI side effects is increased when co-administered with ASA or NSAIDs.[1]
2 H2-blockers, proton pump inhibitors: The risk of upper GI side effects is increased when co-administered with H2-blockers or PPIs by affecting the bioavailability of alendronate.[1]

loop diuretics: The risk of hypocalcemia is increased when IV alendronate is co-administered with loop diuretics.[2][3]

aluminum hydroxide, antacids, calcium carbonate, calcium salts, iron salts, magnesium salts, polysaccharide-iron complex: The absorption of alendronate is decreased when co-administered with metal cations.[1]

1 teriparatide: The anabolic activity of teriparatide is decreased when it is co-administered with alendronate.[4][5]
