This page describes the three stages of certification for PubDrug records. Another page has been developed to describe the Certification Process in detail. If you have been asked to certify records, please begin by reading over the Certification Process page.

Stage one: Non-certified

All non-certified documents in PubDrug are still being written and edited, and are not yet ready to be fact-checked, reviewed, assessed and certified. These documents should have the following header appended to them, appearing just below the document header and before the table of contents:

Non-certified
You are reading a non-certified PubDrug document. This document is incomplete and not ready for final editing, review, and certification. Until this document is certified, any registered PubDrug user may edit its content.

Stage two: Under review

When an author is satisfied that their document is complete and ready for certification, they will notify the PubDrug Administrator who will recommend it for review. The author should then change the certification header to read as follows:

Certification pending
You are reading a non-certified PubDrug document that is undergoing review. This document is complete but still undergoing final edits during the review process. Until this document is certified, any registered PubDrug user may edit its content.

Authored by: ..signature goes here..

Stage three: Certified

In the final stage of the review process, the reviewer works with the author to fully fact-check the document and edit the document until both author and reviewer are satisfied that it is complete, accurate, and error-free. PubDrug will be developing complete guidelines for this process.

Upon completing this review, the document has the following header appended:

Certified
You are reading a certified PubDrug document. This document is complete and accurate to the best of the knowledge of the author and reviewer. This document cannot be edited without being unlocked by the PubDrug admin. Edits or updates may be recommended under the Discussion tab for this document.

Authored by: ..signature goes here.. ------------------------------------------------------------------> Certified by: ..signature goes here..

Where the "signatures" are noted above, the author and reviewer will "sign" the document with their usernames, using four tildes (~) as indicated by the system. After the certification header is appended, the PubDrug admin locks the page so no further editing may take place. If edits are recommended later on, the PubDrug admin may request them of the author, may recommend a second review, or can assign the document to a new author entirely.

This process and these headers are subject to review.
