Certification Process

Headers

  • Check to make sure all headers and sub-headers are aligned properly as they appear on the monograph template page.
    1. Only 2 levels of headings:
      • Heading w/ underline (i.e. == heading ==)
      • Heading w/o underline (i.e. === heading ===)

Section Layouts

  • Make sure all individual section layouts conform to the monograph template (i.e. bulleting, numbering, etc.)

Section Content

  • Make sure the content within each section is grammatically correct, properly cited as per the ICMJE citation format, and relevant to that section heading (i.e. mechanism of action should be in its respective section and no where else).
  • The methodology page provides an explanation of the level of information that should be included in each section.

Links

  • Check all internal and external links to ensure functionality.
  • Add internal links where necessary (i.e. an unlinked drug name).
  • Add external links where necessary (only NIH links are appropriate at this time).
  • Check all reference links to ensure they are properly linked to the abstract if relevant.
  • Check all pictures/media/audio links for functionality.

Credentials

  • Check editors user page for contact information and/or affiliation.

Sub-page certification

  • If any subpages where created by the editor as a result of creating the current monograph the certifier is responsible for reviewing those pages as well (i.e. Class pages, drug interaction page, etc.)

Certify

  • Once you have finished certifying the monograph contact the site administrator at sbrower@buffalo.edu for further instructions.
  • Also visit the certification page to review the process of certification.
