Famciclovir Drug Interactions

Increase concentration or Toxic Effect: Level Two

Probenecid: Studies have shown an increase in acyclovir AUC and peak serum concentration after administration of famciclovir and probenecid. The effects of this interaction are unknown and there are currently no dose adjustments recommended. [1]

Increase concentration or Toxic Effect: Level One

Digoxin: Studies have shown an increase of up to 19% in digoxin Cmax when these two drugs are used concomitantly. This interaction does not appear to be clinically significant.[2]
