| 4 | None known |
| 3 | None known |
| 2 | barbiturates, carbamazepine, fosphenytoin, phenytoin, rifabutin, rifampin, rifapentine, troglitazone: CYP 3A4 inducers may decrease the plasma concentrations of montelukast due to induction of the CYP3A4 isoenzyme, leading to therapeutic failure.[1][2][3][4]
prednisone: Montelukast may increase the risk of edema associated with prednisone therapy.[5] repaglinide, rosiglitazone: In vitro studies suggest that montelukast is a potent CYP 2C8 inhibitor, which may lead to higher concentrations of these drugs and thus, increased side effects.[6][7] |
| 1 | cerivastatin, paclitaxel: In vitro studies suggest that montelukast is a potent CYP 2C8 inhibitor, which may lead to higher concentrations of these drugs and thus, increased side effects.[1][8] |
